Aihui Ong (pronounced i-we) was a software engineer turned entrepreneur turned investor, and she can share with you all the adventures of being a solo founder.
Aihui founded EdgiLife - an AI consumer insights platform that predicts consumer trends for CPGs by analyzing consumer feedback collected via a snack subscription box called LoveWithFood. She built the B2B2C company from the ground up, from writing the initial software on Ruby on Rails to growing sales from zero to multi-million dollars in revenues to raising millions in venture capital since its founding in 2012. EdgiLife was named one of the fastest-growing companies by Inc 5000 and one of the top 50 fastest-growing women-led companies in America. EdgiLife and LoveWithFood were acquired in 2018.
After the successful exit, she became the CEO of Whistle - a smart collar that uses AI to track pets’ activities and health behaviors.
Aihui is currently a General Partner at Transform Capital - VC with a philanthropic difference where 50% of partners’ profits are donated to philanthropic causes. She is also a mentor at 500 Global and Techstars Farm to Fork.
Aihui holds a BSc. in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
